Clients are encouraged to express their story to find solutions to challenges. Humor is used as it plays a central role in overcoming many of life’s challenges. Mrs. Lockett believes the client is the expert and the role of the therapist is the facilitator. This relationship ensures the client owns the work he/she completes in counseling.
Mrs. Lockett provides a safe and nurturing environment for clients to openly dialogue, learn new coping strategies, laugh and identify vulnerabilities to increase protective factors. Mrs. Lockett’s goal is to be supportive through the process.
